We’re Looking for Leaders who Do Church Differently.
I’m D. Danyelle Thomas and I am the voice of millennial faith behind The Unfit Christian. It is my honor to invite you to participate in an one-on-one interview that showcases just how you Do Church Differently.
The Unfit Christian is a digital space for progressive faith. My audience is largely African American Millennials who have left the church or religion all together. Although many would describe the increase in unchurched populations as a loss of faith, my conversations within this village have shown otherwise.
It is not a loss of faith but rather an expansion of faith where the church is no longer the only way that faith is expressed or exercised. For too many, they do not feel that the church has made itself a home to be found to root their faith within. Together, I believe we can change this perception.
The Purpose & Goal
Let’s Do Church Differently seeks to break down what it means to “do” church and pastoral work by spotlighting Faith Leaders who have successfully engaged millennials and/or historically marginalized people.
My audience is seeking religious spaces that are actively working to break down any and all barriers that restrict corporate access to God. They’re looking for spaces where they can bring their whole self — the entirety of their race, gender, and/or sexual identities — and find acceptance and spiritual fulfillment.
The goal of this work is to bring 1. visibility to the ministries doing this work and 2. to connect this audience with churches who do consistent justice work and not just fad-driven outreach efforts. It is evident that you are a leader that represents these efforts and I would love to feature your voice on this platform.
