Tarot: How to Prepare for Your Tarot Divination

There are a few things you can do to prepare for your session with me. Whether you’re new to tarot divination or you’re a returning client, everyone is always anxious. Your anxiety is both normal and expected, everyone goes through it. This is a very intimate experience and you don’t know what you don’t know until you experience it. Still, there are some ways to help your anxiousness:

  1. Read/Watch the entire guide. This guide has been lovingly put together to support you in this process. It will answer most of your questions and should give you some comfort during the wait.
  2. The week of your reading, after you receive your email, try to keep an open mind mentally and spiritually. I will literally be working with your energies and spiritual team and it can be overwhelming. Give yourself grace as much as possible.
  3. Be okay if your question needs to change or be clarified. Often, you’re booking with me one to two months in advance. Your situation may have changed and so might your question. The week of your session, I’ll offer you the opportunity to do so! If I receive your question at the time of booking and it makes no sense, I will absolutely reach out to you for a chat to better understand your goals. This session should bring you the answers YOU need and want!
  4. When you receive your session link, be prepared to watch it with the following items:
    1. Be in a comfortable, quiet, and private place. This could be anything from a luxurious bath to a cozy corner on the couch. Whatever is comfortable for you works for me. Remember, these sessions are designed to feel like a chill vibe conversation. While you will probably share your session with others, I strongly suggest that your first viewing is private.
    2. Have your favorite food or drink on hand. Unless you’re in recovery for substance or alcohol addiction, I invite you to consume this session with your favorite wine, beer, or liquor. If you’re into it, these readings can also be enjoyed with cannabis.
  5. The beginning of our conversation will have a grounding exercise. Don’t skip it. My clients often experience overwhelming emotions during these sessions and it has led me to include grounding exercises and meditation to open and close a session.
  6. Have a notebook and pen on hand so that you can take notes for self and points of clarity you may want to ask me.
  7. Be prepared for homework! I will often give instructions to my clients, ranging from seeking professional counsel to performing ritual work. I am a Spiritualist, so you see me for spiritual healing but this work is holistic in nature which means seeing other professionals as needed.

I hope these tips will help you as you’re preparing for your session with me or considering booking one!
